Yellow Pack Family Camp

Date: 22nd Mar 2023 Author: Nikki Benge

Despite the mud – Yellow Pack enjoyed a fantastic Family Camp at Broadstone Warren this weekend.

Jo shares her experience below:

We had a great weekend, full of adventure and mud! A lovely small group meant that we all got to know each other and the added bonus for the adults of having a bed. We also cooked and ate together which we all enjoyed. We did organised activities such as archery, axe throwing and firelighting, and many games, which were very well organised and fun for all ages. The safety/location of the camp meant the children could also roam free, discovering indoor and outdoor fun, playing football and climbing on fallen trees. Not to forget night walks, star spotting and of course campfire songs. All at a really affordable price, making it open to all. Thanks to all the team, we can’t wait for next year!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
