Beavers

Try new things, make friends!

Beaver Scouts (6-8)

The Beaver Colony is the first section of the Scout Group.

Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old.

For the youngest members of the group – the emphasis is all about having “fun”. The Beavers meet for one hour per week during term time with occasional weekend trips and events. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends.

At 2nd Whitton we run 2 Beaver Scout Colonies:

  • Lakes Colony – Tuesdays 5-6pm
  • Rivers Colony – Tuesdays 6:15-7:15pm
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
