About us

2nd Whitton Scout Group is "Second to None"!

About us

Our aim is to create an environment within which our young members can reach their full potential and the wide range of activities we offer means that there is something for everyone to enjoy!

2nd Whitton Scout Group was founded in 1936 with a troop of six boys. Since then our numbers and reputation has grown locally through a rich history of activity and opportunity.

Whether attending a World Jamboree in Japan, performing on stage in “Our Show” or parading in front of royalty at Windsor Castle as one of our 104 Queen Scouts – the group has supported thousands of young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
