At the last meeting of Term – Animal Troop showed their appreciation to Alan Stacey who is stepping down as Scout Leader after Summer Camp.
Alan’s dedication and enthusiasm over the last 5 years has seen the Troop grow to over 80 young people meeting across 3 sessions a week – so he will be greatly missed.
Alan was presented with a gift and beautiful book made up of photos & messages from every scout.

The following words say it all……

Dear Alan,
A truly grateful and enormous thankyou for everything you have done for 2nd Whitton Scouts Animal Troop over the years.
With you our children have experienced a huge amount of opportunities and activities that have helped them to learn, grow and develop.
From reptiles to cooking, shooting, escape rooms, bowling, ice skating, trampolining, horse riding, climbing, night hikes, survival weekends, scuba diving, tie-dying, Thorpe Park, water weekend, summer camp, borough camp, PGL, skywalks, monopoly runs, care home visits to games and badges and so much more.
The scouts have had the most amazing time under your leadership. Thank you for all of your time, all of your energy and all that you have done (not forgetting seeing many of them through Beavers and Cubs also).
We wish you all the very best.
From all of the parents and scouts of 2nd Whitton Animal Troop
