Leaders Achieve Top Awards for Good Service

Five of our long serving Leaders were presented with well deserved Awards at the Richmond District Conference and AGM this weekend.

BIG Congratulations to:

David Gilbert on being awarded the Silver Acorn for specially distinguished service of not less than 20 years.

Rachel Harrison on being awarded the Medal of Merit for outstanding service of not less than 12 years.

Richard Young on being awarded the Medal of Merit for outstanding service of not less than 12 years.

Jenny Middleton on being awarded the Chief Scouts Commendation for good service of not less than 5 years.

Paul Smallpiece on being awarded the Wood Badge for his appointment as Assistant Explorer Scout Leader.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
