Group Volunteers Recognised for Outstanding Service

2nd Whitton is kept going by a small group of dedicated and long serving volunteers.
Their service is “second to none” and the following were deservedly recognised at the Group AGM with awards presented by Phil Hunt – District Lead Volunteer

Trevor Smallpiece (Group Chairman) – Chief Scouts 25 years Length of Service Award

Chris Penson – Chief Scouts 40 years Length of Service Award

Sue De Boeck (Group Secretary) – Chief Scouts 50 years Length of Service Award

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
