David Clay Awarded Silver Wolf

Date: 23rd Dec 2024 Author: Nikki Benge

The Chief Scout has recognised David Clay with the highest award for Good Service – the Silver Wolf

The award consists of a Silver Wolf suspended from a dark green and yellow neck ribbon and was presented to David at the Group’s Christmas Sing-Song by Owen Purcell, the County Lead Volunteer, Greater London South West.

Phil Hunt, District Lead Volunteer, Richmond writes:

“David has devoted all of his 50 years’ service to the Group and is involved in all its aspects, from overseeing the administration of disclosures and training of all the volunteers to personally supporting Scout and Cub Camps and Beaver Sleepovers. A humble man by nature, he has always preferred his name badge to read “Assistant Scout Leader”. His new title of Group Lead Volunteer suits him well”.

Congratulations David on this remarkable achievement.
