2nd Whitton Garden Olympics

As part of the Camp@ Home challenge and to make Thursday 30th April even more fun – Steve Lywood – Bird Troop Scout Leader organised the 2nd Whitton Garden Games – who needs the Olympics!
Families were asked to form a team and……
• Create a name for themselves that’s linked with their section – Beavers, Lakes, Rivers etc
• Create a flag to be proud off
• Create an Olympic style torch/flame
• Get pens, paper, tape measure and a stop watch ready.
• Have a go at the following events:
o Javelin
o Synchronised garden swim
o Speed climb
o Paper Ball shot put
o Match box marathon
o Balance sock bar
o Model shooting
Over 100 families submitted photos and videos of the event and as you will see from the opening & closing ceremonies – great fun was had by all
