Date: 28th Sep 2019 Author: Nikki Benge

In August of this year 4 of our Scouts and one Leader were lucky enough to experience the 24th World Scout Jamboree at The Summit Bechtel Reserve, West Virginia, USA.

The theme “Unlock a New World” enabled over 4,000 scouts from across the globe to come together to unlock new adventures, new cultures and new friendships.

The photo below shows the 2nd Whitton contingent as part of Unit 27 with their twin American unit.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
