Date: 8th May 2020 Author: Nikki Benge

Over 150 2nd Whitton Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders took part in a global Camp@Home challenge on Thursday 30th April 2020.
Organised by Northumberland Scouts in an attempt to beat the world record for the largest virtual camp – participants had to build a den / pitch a tent / hang up a hammock and then spend the night in it.

In total 93,000 scouts and guides from over 63 counties took part and absolutely smashed it!

Well done all you 2nd Whitton Record Breakers!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
